We're Baaack

We are back in business here on Blogspot. I stopped posting here for a while and locked this blog up...things were busy with a new baby and to be honest, I wanted to check over this blog and remove the personal info that any creepy internet stalker could access. You'll notice that anywhere our last name used to appear now says "H----".

Anyways, now that we have that cleared up...

Things here are going great. Naomi is getting so big. She weighs around 10 lbs. now and is getting cuter by the day (I do realize that I might be biased, being her mom and all). We are having so much fun with her. She turned 7 weeks old yesterday, time seems to be flying and I wish it would SLOW DOWN! I can't believe she's almost two months old already. She is really starting to respond to us a lot more now. She smiles and coos when we talk to her and she loves looking at (studying) faces. She is such a good baby, and I love, LOOOOVE being her mother.

The only real difficulty so far (if I even dare call it that) is that she and I have the same "bewitching hour" as they call it. She and I are both terribly crabby at the same time! How's that for a mother daughter coincidence. She seems to fall apart at bedtime, sometimes from 10pm - 1am. This is when I am a.) trying to get warm in a cold bed (which is pretty impossible when I have to keep getting in and out of it to comfort my child) or b.) just drifting off into a cozy, sound sleep (only to be awoken by a baby that I thought was finally, FINALLY asleep!). I feel lame even writing that, but I'm just trying to be real. It's crazy just how nutty a crying baby can make a sleep deprived woman feel!

Happily, we eventually all fall asleep, and once that happens, Naomi sleeps a good 6-7 hours on a good night (which means she is already going 7-8 hours from her night time feeding to her early morning feeding. One time she went 10 hours!). I would have to say we have it pretty darn good if she is sleeping that well at 7 weeks of age!

I know, I love the baby jeans you gave her because they are nice and soft...and cute! By the way, I liked your blog makeover, so I went to the same website and did a blog makeover of my own!
