2 Weeks 5 Days

I am amazed at how S-L-O-W-L-Y the last few days of pregnancy seemed to drag, and at how fast the first couple of weeks of Naomi's life have flown by! It seems like we JUST had her and now she is almost three weeks old. Just like that.

She is doing SO WELL. We just love having her. I can't even describe the tremendous amount of love I have for this precious little person!

She went for her check up at the Dr. today. She was 7lbs 11oz and 21 3/4 inches long. They said she was in the 45th percentile for weight and head circumference, and in the 90th percentile for height. She's a tall little girl and quickly growing out of her newborn size clothing!

The antique baby scale that has been in my family for years.
My dad was weighed on this as a baby (not that he's old or anything).

Ok, so I'm a big dork, but I thought she looked so darn cute in this!!!

And the winner is...

We had a fun little game going before Naomi was born. Friends and family went onto a website to place their guesses as to our baby's birth statistics. The results were pretty funny I thought...

Grandma H. came in first place...and Grandpa H. came in dead last!

Baby Girl has a cold...

After asking everyone to wash their hands before holding her, somehow Naomi still managed to get a cold. She started coming down with it at about 10 days old. Poor little girl! I think I feel worse for her than she actually feels though. She's still sleeping well and acting fine. I hope this one passes quicky for her sake (and mine). She's too little to be getting sick already!

She's Amazing!

We are so in love with our baby girl. She is such a sweetie. So far, she really only cries when she is hungry or when we change her. She spends most of the day sleeping or looking around contentedly. She can already lift her head when on her tummy and turn to face the other way, she has a strong little neck! She eats like a champ and poops like one too.

Having a baby has been the most amazing experience of my life, and I feel so incredibly blessed to have her. Adam and I are in complete awe of this little miracle and thank the Lord for her every day. She is truely amazing.
